Fig Tree Finance (“we”, “us”) is based in Queensland, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through figtreefinance.net, how we use it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and we respect privacy rules that apply to you where you live.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, billing country or address and the products you buy.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Messages: anything you send us when you email us or fill in a form.
- Email sign-ups: your name and email address if you join our email list.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and cookies, collected when you use the Site.
We don’t see or store your full card details. Payments are handled by our payment provider.
How we use it
- to process your order, deliver your download and send receipts;
- to answer your questions and provide support;
- to send marketing emails if you have signed up or agreed, and you can unsubscribe at any time;
- to understand how the Site is used and improve it;
- to prevent fraud and keep the Site secure; and
- to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:
- WooCommerce and WooPayments (Automattic) and Stripe: to run our online store and process payments securely.
- Hostinger: website hosting and storage.
- Our email marketing provider: to send newsletters and download-related emails to people who have signed up.
- Google: website analytics and search tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console, and fonts loaded from Google Fonts.
- Social platforms: if you click through to or interact with our Instagram or YouTube content, those platforms collect information under their own policies.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries. By using the Site you understand your information may be handled overseas. We choose providers with reasonable security and privacy practices.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the cart and checkout working, remember your session and understand Site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Site may not work properly without them.
Email marketing
We only send marketing emails with your consent, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to unsubscribe. We will still send transactional emails about your orders.
How long we keep information
We keep order and tax records for as long as the law requires, usually at least five years. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, but no online system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password for any account you create.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop sending marketing, by emailing figtreefinance128@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may keep some records where the law requires.
Children
Our Site and products are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
